First up I wanted ask a few questions about most users settings on pad sensitivity.

Ive set mine to the highest sensitivity available. Velocity Curve A and Pad Sensitivity 16. Yet i still find i really have

to hit the pads to get full velocity and not achieving that dynamic rhythm in the process.

I thought that if i layerd samples on to pad eg A1 Snare 90-127
2Snare 60-89
3Snare 10-59

This is a very rough example but i think you'll all know what im talkin about here.

With the 3 different layers on a snare i though i would be able to also change the Range 0-127 of each sample

making it possible to hit the pad at various velocity levels but achieving the Lvl set within the pad program.

But this doesnt seem to have any change over how hard i have to hit the pads to get full level or maintaining realistic

dynamics.

Any ideas on how to solve this ?

well how do u ahve ur pads set. and is it a 1000?

I've only used a 1000 (with pad upgrade) for a few hours, but I was surprised how hard I had to smack the pads. My 2500 has around 80% of the feel of the 2kxl, but that's good enough for me.

Sorry mate, can't really help you out on this one.

EDIT: Although Pound can.

I have a 2500. JJOS 3.09, velocity curve A and pad sensitivity 12 (except pad 1, because a lot of times I drop my big heavy main kick on that pad).

I also have/had the 1000 with pad upgrade, but that one has 'the gaps' between the pads and sensors. Programming hats and velocity fade outs are hard to do on the 1k without the 16 levels

I'm interested in seeing this. I've been intrigued by your "neon sticker" pad fix. I was going to PM you about it eventually, I just need to find the neon stickers first.
