Anyone know if the 8 out board from a 900 or 950 can fit in the 2kxl?

It won't fit. Only the 8-outs from a S3000XL or S2000 will work inside the MPC 2000 or MPC 2000XL.

Yes I know it. And you could have known this too if you look at the back of the 2000/2000xl and the back of the 950.
2000(xl) got 10 jacks: 8 single outs, 1 digital in, 1 digital out
s950 got 11 jacks: 8 single outs, 1 left out, 1 right out, 1 mix out.
I'm sorry but I think its also a bit naive to think a part of a sampler from 1988 (s950) coud fit in a sampler from 1997 (MPC2000).
