hey, you missed out where I said "I think samples are samples, I don't care where you get them" :)

dcdavie wrote:What I was trying to say is that after it's gone thru the hands of a pro tech which does mixing mastering it will sounds good either way.

OK, that's a different matter. I was only responding to what you said about quality not being the same "after it's gone thru your mpc"

dcdavie wrote:AGAIN I DON'T produce with samples...NOT MY THING... so those of you that like type **** without reading.... PLEASE READ...... It should be easy...

I do hope that's not directed at me, I was talking about sound quality, not getting at anyone. I quoted exactly what I was responding to, and I read it first. I was responding to a particular claim you made, which was nothing to do with whether you use samples or not, and not a criticism of anyone's work. Again, I think samples are samples, I don't care where you get them

Sorry dude didn't mean to get all pushy and shit... but I do get a little when people talk shit about other without reason....

The quote wasn't completely directed at you but to anyone how was talkin'...... but didn't completely read your post well because I was on my way to military training and didn't have the time to really read it well.....

AGAIN sorry if I came off as an ass... not my intentions

nothing wrong with youtube sampling for loops imo. i've done it. for one shot type sounds i wouldnt do it, but for loops yeah. i download it and convert it to wav, edit it a bit, take out the bad noises as best i can and work around it.

if i ever find the record or cd of the sample, i'll go back later on and re-do the beat for 'better' quality. if the final product sounds good to me, i dont give a fuk where i got the sample from or what other people think about me getting the sample from. its my beat, let me do me.

try wiretap pro. you can record any audio coming through your outputs. like everyone has said though, it will sound like shit. I have found this IS the best way to get audio from youtube however its still brutes.

I always sample from youtube, there is a ton of music on there and anyone that says you can tell the diference or it sounds shitty is just jelous there spending all this money on vynal which is already on youtube, amd don't say it's not I have a buddy that says that, so take your rarest record and look it up, it's there. Hip hop is about making the best of what you got by any mean nessisary. C.D.'s, cassette taps, dvd's, vynal, the internet, who cares aslong as it sound dope.

you're right, I'm dead jealous. I spend all my money on vinyl and all I have to show for it is all this vinyl I never wanted.

let me guess, you're basing that statement on tracks you can find on iTunes? :P
cos there's a whole world of music you won't find there either.

And I'm not even talking about rare stuff. I want the studio version of Rock'n'Roll Doctor by Little Feat. Very easy to find in a record shop, but youtube is full of muddy-sounding live versions and TV appearances, and 70s TV shows played through youtube do not sound very good. That's just a fact.

Or find me something off one of Alabama 3's Last Train To Mashville albums.

Or find me Ella Fitzgerald's cover of Savoy Truffle by the Beatles - again, not rare, just something I had on vinyl a few feet away from me. Even last.fm seems to have that - why's it not on youtube?

I'm sorry, but you're a fool.

 Ya I get it, your right, "Vinal" has a ton of stuff you can't find on the net. Im not fronting like I dont use vinal I have a good collection and use records more than I use the web, it's more people knocking the use of the internet or youtube for samples, know what im saying, diddent mean to offend all the vinal diggers out there just stating that there is alot of dope stuff on the web.
