Pad plays sample of pad next to it

I have assigned a sample to the pad A2, which plays fine when I hit it normally. However, when I try to record me hitting the pad (via overdubbing) it plays the sound of the pad to the left of it when I play it back. During the recording, as I hit the pad, it makes the correct sound. When the pad to the left has no sample assigned, no sound is heard when I play back the sequence, and when a sample is assigned to the pad to the left, that is the sound I hear. All the other pads and samples work fine.

So, any chance anyone could help me out? Thanks a lot.

EDIT2: It worked! I found out I alredady had the latest OS, but realoading it and resetting the MPC seemed to sort everything out. Thanks for your help!

go to akaipro, and under the MPC 500 support/download file you should find OS v1.31 I think is the latest.

If you've got that already then you probably have some other problem.
