M Audio BX5 or KRK RP5

I'm about to order some speaker because these headphones have run there course! Anyone that knows anything about either of these monitors let me know what you think of them or any set of speakers under $300 for that matter. I'm not looking for a set of huge speakers.

I will be using these in my apartment so they wont be up super loud alot.

go bring your favorite cd to guitar center and bump it thru them first then pick the one that sounded better.

I don't know about the KRK rp5, but I just bought the KRK Rokit 8's and I love them, KRK makes really good monitors, with a good bass response (the 5's will have less bass than 8's but that's good for someone who doesn't want them too loud)

like i said on aim. the bx5s are very lovely for the price. ive had them over a year and a half never failed me

i suggest stayyying faarr away from KRK. I was in the same market once, went to store, played my beat cd on the krk and u could hear that wen played at high levels certain sounds would now long play (my clap literrally disappeared). Truly a disappointment.

I went with the M-AUDIOS and havent looked back since. WORDS TO LIVE BY: b4 u buy make sure u play well mixed cd on the monitors to ensure they are wat ur looking for
