Well had got the mpk for ableton but the latency bugs me, tried the hard ware to software switch but could not stop using the mouse even when had the apc 40, computer habit i guess, still have ableton on laptop to mess with when not able to use mpc. ( actually the mpk has reg midi in/outs you just have to get ac adapter to use them, then is like adding a keyboard to the 2kxl)
I never did shell out for the jjos instead got the 2000 & 2kxl one thing i figure if alternating between em it keeps the fun level up and will conserve the screens longer too
I know that with software like ableton, I don't really NEED any of my hardware, but for me I want to have FUN in the beatmaking process even if harder or more time consuming and mouse clicking just feels like i'm on the job, not
really fun.
I was looking for an asr 10 to replace the mpk 49 ut so far no dice, iif is gear lust i dunno but i use everything i buy nothing is unused except for reason 3 software at the moment. I was recording vocals mono into the 2kxl just the other day while beat goin on the 1000, just find different ways of doing things i guess, keeps it exciting to me.
have this ordered on back order rom gc to take center tier of 3 tier stand and get everything in the mix
