from JJ site "There is no save mode of an MPC format in the pay version."

Anbody else notice this about the paid version thats due out March 20th? I think that sucks. I was looking forward to working in between projects from the sequencer back to my 1000. Guess Ill just stick with the free version that lets you save in mpc format for now

JJ: "Since the addition of the function was difficult when maintaining compatibility with MPC, preservation of the MPC format was removed."

some of the greatest mysteries in the history of human civilization:

1. the great pyramids.
2. loch ness monster.
3. the bermuda triangle.
4. stonehenge.
5. why JJ keeps working on this wack sequencer.

Boo... I had given up on this thing a while ago. Then one of the videos showed it with the audio tracks, and I thought I might actually get into it at one point. Now I really have no interest in this. Free version's still cool though. Wasn't he going to add the ability to save entire projects? I thought that was the whole point of paying. Oh well.

I am sure you can save... you just cannot save to a format that is compatible with the MPC.

Weird. Pretty much the only thing that would've made this software stand out from any other DAW.

Right, my only use for JJ Sequencer would be as an editor for my 1k (i.e. non destructive chopping and creating/editing programs). Other than that its useless to me too...

I'm really dissapointed at the fact that there's some serious bugs with os2 and os2xl's Audio Tracks (which I reported recently and never got a bugfix or a response). Never mind all this bullshit with the JJ Sequencer. I'll never buy it. I just want the damn bugs taken care of on the MPC and work with Ableton and my Axiom 49.

Sorry for the rant... just been frustrated over the workflow problems that I've been encountering.

What specific bugs with the audio tracks? I plan on getting into them real soon. I'll check and report them also. Doesn't hurt to have numbers.

This is what I posted in the bug reports topic and to JJ recently....

BUGS REPORTED LAST WEEK

MPC1000 0S2 Ver 1.27 (also occurs on 1.26)
1. SONG MODE: Record sequences containing an AUDIO TRACK. After recording SONG TO SAMPLE, AUDIO TRACK changes the original sample that was recorded to that track with another sample that's loaded in memory.

2. AUDIO TRACK bug on MPC1000 OS2 ver 1.27 AND OS2XL ver 1.24
When AUDIO TRACK is not selected on main screen to the corresponding track number, the recorded audio in that track will truncate after the first bar. However, this only happens at the beginning and does not repeat when the loop returns to the first bar. This is still very annoying when recording in song mode and recording SONG TO SAMPLE.
I found a workaround.... No matter how many audio tracks I have recorded, if the first AUDIO TRACK on the main screen the main screen is selected for all sequences, all of the audio tracks will play out properly without truncating.

If anyone can verify these bugs, respond here and report it to JJ as well. So far, I havent heard anything from them, and I'm not looking to try and find the earlier OS versions where the problems never occurred. It's not worth it to downgrade and deal with previous bugs that also may prevent my workflow.

Let me know if you come across the the same bugs. There were no polyphony issues for me when I found these bugs.

I don't get it. Can I load a project I created on the MPC 1000 and render the tracks within my PC? If so, that would actually be pretty useful.

JJ Sequencer doesn't have effects or filters.
