Problem installing 128MB RAM

Hi there, my 128mb RAM just came in the post and I have installed it into the machine, but now when I turn the MPC on I am just presented with the message "MPC2500 (128MB installed) which I know I'm supposed to get, but it just stays on that screen and doesnt move.

Any ideas why? Here is the link to the RAM I purchased. It was packaged new and I made sure I didnt touch the gold parts at all -

Update - I just took the RAM out again, removed a sticker that was on the top side, put it back in and voila, its working fine now! Thank god!

Haha, is it a given that you're meant to remove any stickers? the vid i watched on youtube had the akai sticker left on! lol

No. It's pure coincidence that the remvoing the sticker "fixed" the issue -- the RAM probably wasn't fully seated.

Exactly, the sticker had nothing to do with it. The handling of the RAM most likely seated it properly and now it functions as it should.
