How long have you had your MPC?

Have had my MPC 500 for 3 years this coming June.

but im seriously wanting to upgrade to the 1000 or 2500. Most likely the 1000, with the latest JJOS and upgraded pads.

Ive had me 2500 over a year.Need to up grade to the 5000 but i am poor .

Best thing i have ever bought without a shadow of a doubt.

I've had my MPC500 since September 2006. I was in NY at the time, read about it for the first time on the net whilst there, bought one at Guitar Factory and created 3 beats on the plane returning to Australia a week or two later.

I had got mpc1000 for an about an year between 05-06. Sold it... Got the MPC2000XL in '07 maybe.... Never will let it go....

i like my 2k more than my old 1k.. glad i sold that!!

for a standalone semi workstation id go 1k all day
features and everything its nice

2000XL since 2001/2002
2500 since July 2009

Had my 2000xl since early 2008 sold it two months ago
Now back in the era of MPC 60… really cool stuff…

Bought a 1k in '09 and sold it in '09... I do miss it and I'm thinking about getting a 2500.

I´ve got a blue/red MPC1000 since fall 2008...after a few months i installed the padfix, the 128MB RAM and JJ OS1. Sometimes i wish it had a tilted display, but otherwise i´m fine now.
This is my first MPC, before i made some beats using my computer.

whatever you do, dont get rid of the 2xl, you will regret it. even if it collects dust for the next 20 years, keep it.

i rocked 2xl for like 4 years, got 4k sold 2xl, missed the hell out of it even tho i probably wouldnt use it, then dropped the 4k for a 2500 + jjos and been luvin it. miss a bit from both 2xl and 4k..........but cant really complian, 2500 got everything i actually use and want. i really miss how sturday the 2xl feels. the 2500 is just weaker build wise.

JJOS seems real cool, but the OS on the XL is soo simple, could that be it as well?

i dunno, i rocked the 4k and now the 2500 but still got luv for the 2xl. it just feels good. does exactly what you want.

I've got my original MPC 2000 since the day it dropped in 1997!
