Sorry about the questions that are probably obvious, but im new to the mpc 1000 and im not too tech savvy. Im looking to make a purchase to increase the available sample memory. i have the 16mb installed that comes standard with the machine, my question is what do i need to purchase, a larger flash card or more ram. my guess is both, because i only have a 128 mb flash card, but for now i can only afford one or the other. im not sure what affects the sample memory, flash or ram. If someone could drop some knowledge it would be most appreciated.

Personal preference aside, if you want to increase the "available sample memory" you need to buy RAM. Period.
A flash card will expand your possibility to store samples and projects but it will not let you work with more or longer samples simultaneously in the MPC.

If you're lookig for advice on storage I´d say get a HDD instead of more CF's, personally I find it much smoother and easy to work with. Plus, CF's has gone broke on me and started acting funny, never once have I had any problem with my HDD.
