MPC 60 II price?

I just wanted to get everyones opinion on what a fair price for an mpc 60 II is.
For one with the scsi and os 3.10

I appreciate any feedback.

I think with upgrades it should be $550, without: 350-400

thats if your buying though, if your selling just add $200 to the above listed

What would be best is a local sale- preferably with someone who doesn't know what it's worth

That sounds like alot- I guess prices have gone up

There are 60II's on ebay that are over $1000 without ANY upgrades...

I agree with both you guys. I think if that ebay deal was going for even 700 id pick it up, but 900 is a bit much. It's funny but ive seen them go for 350 on ebay without the upgrades.

Be aware that if you take one without any upgrade, you'll have, of course if you want the upgrades, to buy :

- OS 3.1 and SCSI Options (445$ @ Roger Linn)
- Ram (Don't know for this one)

So finally, if it's in good shape, 900$ is not so expensive.

That's true. That's exactly what im weighing. The guy on ebay that has all the upgrades and selling for 900 is being a real prick about sending any additional pics. Ive asked a few question regarding the condition and pad sensitivity and whatnot and he's like 'you either want it or you dont'. So, that's pretty much killing it right there.

I mean how are you going to ask someone for potentially 1000 dollars and not even turn the **** on and take a shot..

Seriously- walk away! I hate when you have to pull teeth to get some info from sellers on ebay. Forget them and just wait for another deal.

One thing to think about- if you get one that needs upgrading, will you be able to do the upgrades yourself? Something to keep in mind if you need to ship it to someone after receiving it is that shipping cost. Those older mpc's aren't exactly light

same story for me.

I m in France, and a men who live about 2 hours on train just told me that the MPC was in good shape.

I told him to send pictures, the robot repeat it is in good shape.

I said to him to put his MPC in his @ss...the man just say OK...just a stupid man.

Think about something esle that i forget to told you.

I did buy one with :

OS 3.1
RAM
for 650$ in good shape
But i have to buy what i need :
scsi
card reader
kit install for card reader
card...to read
New sensor
new pads
new tact switches

so the bild is .... 650 + 250 + 110 + 30 and the installations of the tact switches

I m more near of 1200$ than 350 400.

But the machine will be dope as new with all the last fonctions and ergonomy...the price is high, like the stake

Right! It'll add up if it needs alot... $900 may seem like alot, but it could end up costing you alot less in money AND time if it's got what you need...

To soften the effect on your wallet, you may not need to buy everything at the same time -- things like new pads,new pad sensors and tact switches aren't an immediate need unless there is a pre-existing issue. Also plan on buying a new backlight at some point.

If you are not able to put the tact switches in yourself and have to pay someone to do so, then factor in the cost of labor and parts. If you know someone that can do this for you, it's not such a big deal. I recently replaced all the tact switches in a friend's 60 and the whole process took around two hours. It takes time to take everything apart, carefully remove the old switches, put the new ones in, clean and put everything back together again.

Like everyone else I'll be looking for a clean one for a decent price basically.
