the one without the sleeve is a record for medical students I guess. It has example sounds of heart and lung diseases recorded thru a stethoscope. Before each example a voice explain what you will hear in a kind of "medic slang" :D
Its in german but I guess most of you wouldn't understand it even if you understand the german language. I dont really know what the hell he is talking about but it sounds kind of funny.

Well...I did well this week.

This is basically like the "Penthouse Letter" of digging haha.

Im home on winter break right now and my pops told me that a woman who works for him has a bunch of records that she doesn't want anymore. Apparently, her husband used to work for a record distribution company and had a ton of records. He passed away two years ago and she wanted to clear out the stuff...so I was obviously willing to help. I wasn't expecting the eleven crates that I found. These aren't dollar bin records either. I've spent the past couple days organizing the crates and these crates contain one of the best classic rock record collections I have ever seen. I don't just dig for samples, I love all music and there is so much good stuff here. I have a whole crate full of Beatles, one of which is a german import that goes for around $100. I also have whole crates of Grateful Dead/Dead related projects and Jefferson Airplane/Starship albums respectively. Theres also tons of The Doors, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Jeff Beck, Santana, Cream, The Kinks (tons more, basically any group that had any amount of success in the 60's or 70's). I also pulled about a crates worth of things that I should be able to get dope samples from. I also compiled a crate that is mostly orchestra/classical music.

...this shit is unreal

While I was down in the woman's basement, she showed me her husbands stereo equipment and guitars. He had one of the nicest stereo systems that I have ever seen, it included two reel-to-reels. She might actually give all that stuff to Pops. The guitars were all 60s/70s Gibsons and one Brown Fender that looked like the same model that Clapton used to play. Anyway, while I was looking at this stuff I noticed some microphones. She saw me looking at them and asked if I wanted them.
YES!
So I got 2 Shure SM57's and an AudioSource Spectrum Analysis Mic (that I don't think I can use for recording, just in an EQ) for free. I consider that a part of my dig, so im posting pics of them.

She also gave me their old turntable. It's a Harmon Kardon ST5. It's one of those ones where the arm moves on a track instead of pivoting (manufacturers thought it would be better for the grooves?). I forgot to take a pic of it and couldn't find one online, but the tt below is the ST7 and they're almost identical.

Edit: @ Peterpiper, that Super Sessions album was in all this, I listened to it the other night. That album is so dope and bluesy. Mike Bloomfield kills the first side.
