i was wondering if anyone knew how artists achieved that old electro style voice effect on old electro tunes. you know, the effect that sounds like a robot. for example where they say "break".

i think it was the same effect used on beastie boys - "intergalactic"

i really want that old skool robot style voice.

can anyone help me out

The Micro-Korg is a pretty decent, cheap, easy to find vocoder.
