MPCmaid

If anyone hasn't heard of MPCmaid yet go check it out at http://mpcmaid.sourceforge.net/ it works on both PC & Mac... It's based on Pad187, and has a slice feature that creates a PGM file, and extratcs a MIDI file that can be used in the MPC... kinda like Recycle meets Pad187

is the MPC 5000 compatible with this?

i use it all the time, dam near every day, very easy to use and to set up programs, yo can all so chop samples on it also.

i don't see why not, you should be able to. the 1000 & 2500, 5000 all can read the same prg's? try it and see!

save's a little time, i don't use it to chop instrument samples, but for drum's it's okay. download some drum kits and then put them on any pads and order that you like. you can also double up and stack on top each other. it does have the option to set a program from poly to mono to.
