INstalling the outputboard

Im planning on buying the 8 analog outs.
Is it hard to install that board>??

And are there problems reported on fawlty items,, installation problems etc etc???

Cause if if the chances of problems are high, i might buy the outs at the local akai dealer and ask them to install it,,, but that costs my 100 bucks more

Mine went in no problem. The Unit comes with detailed ionstructions.

They charge a hundred to install! Save your money, do it yourself, it is simple to do.

Be very careful when you open your MPC4000.
There are flat ribbon cables going from the bottom (CPU) to the top panel.
It you lift the top panel too much, you can unplug or damage those cables and the key or LCd won't work correctly anymore.
Any damage that you might do while installing the board will void your warranty.
We recommend ahving the option boards/drives installed by a service center.

If you do install the board yourself make sure to take anti-static precautions before touching the board or anything inside the MPC. A small shock can fry the boards.

Yes, there is a possibility of pulling out cables but, it is easy to fit back in.

If you have had your MPC more than a year your warranty has already expired.
