Ziggy Modeliste is the king of all kings.
Purdie.
Clyde.
Jabo Starks.
Idris.
Steve Gadd. (the Marti Gras break, and Funk Factory break is him)
David Garibaldi.
Earl Palmer (for his playing on "Songs of Innocence")
Those are some of my favorite funky players. I have tons of other favorite drummers in other styles (Elvin, Bonham, etc. etc.)
