Thanks! :D But I only had two MPC500s! One to beat up on and one that was "babied" for live sets. I finally got sick of the cryptic save procedures and other bullshit to avoid crashes and lost data. Sold 'em for peanuts on Ebay and didn't regret it, not even for a second. Hell, my MacMini has been way more stable than the MPC500. I refuse to buy another MPC until Akai decides to fix the bigs (& give them features fit for the 21st century).

Damn, my 2500's been really stable. That's weird.

I felt like a little kid @ Christmas when I went to pick my Emax up from the post office today . Got it for $98 and the dude didn't even know what he had . It's in pristine condition and has a HD in it .

I remember some cats had a audio comparison of the sp1200 and the emax.

I'll take the emax over the sp any day.

Yeah, they have a great sound those old Emax's, the filter especially which true analog. The only downside is that it's MIDI response time is really slow. But if you record from it straight to a DAW and chop up the audio, that won't be a problem of course.

Hey Steele, which sound do you prefer more; Emax or S950?
