As far as sound, it depends on what I'm sampling and how I'm feeling . I know that's vague but they both sound completely different and I love both their sounds so depending on the sample I find and what I think it might go w/ it could be either of them .

As far as ease of use, the Emax . Within about 10 min.s I had a sample in, chopped and ready to go . I remember my 1st S950 (about 10 years ago) confused me for about an hour or so . But I also have to give credit to the manual, RTFM is real sh!t .

How were you saving? I just save 'all programs & sounds', and 'all sequences & songs' within a folder and have never had a problem. For loading I just load the whole folder. Never had a crash either. I think the MPC500's are brilliant and I'm still learning new tricks.

Nice looking set up by the way.

Thanks. My save problems were mostly centered around overwriting. Whenever I wanted to write over something I would cross my fingers........... "CPU ADDR ERROR 1278349083701973640".

That EMAX weight an absolute tone! We had one at school in 1999, I couldn't even steal it cos it was that heavy hahah instead I settled on doing away with the DX-100 :P

WORD . The reason I got it so cheap was because the guy had it listed as "pick-up only" and said it weighed 110 lb.s . It was in Long Island and I got a homie in Brooklyn so I asked him to grab it for me . When he sent it to me it was only $60 in a custom flight case that came w/ it . I've paid more sending a ASR 10 in cardboard .
