You are because Maschine came out and blew away the vaporware that was Linndrum 2.

Well Maschine came out and seems to have a strong following and all, but the Linndrum 2 never mentioned anything about software. Personally, if Linndrum ever materializes (kinda doubt it at this point) I hope it has nothing to do with a DAW and is standalone hardware.

MPC style pads, MIDI recording, high resolution, big screen, ins and outs galore, etc.. Maybe a way to stream all tracks separately out over digital connection at once to get things into a DAW.

Look at his Adrenalinn3 - tons of effects, MIDI BPM synced etc. So he's got the software basics there, imagine this with an MPC style sequencer/sampler (H'es also got the OS for the MPC 3k!). Of course I hope he would spec the parts a notch or three above what Numark builds the MPC's from. Above all I'd want it SOLID. And yeah it would be expensive, but what the hell... we spend alot on ish, i'd pay up for something that had genuine quality.

Hell, hire JJ and give him the adrenalinn and MPC3000 OS's, let him get to work. Roger Linn + JJ. Yeah, forget Dave Smith, we don't need an analog synth on this thing.

No need to totally reinvent the wheel here. MPC's have been proven as a great music production instrument, so why not design something that takes the basic MPC functionality, adds some nice FX, modern MIDI control, SOLID build quality and high quality audio path components. If you spent one day reading at this forum you could come up with the must-have feature list.

and the true "MPC forever" crew would be all over a new Roger Linn piece.

dreamin! (caffeine at work)
