What difference (if any) is there between Curves A,B,C,D?

That info is in the Akai manual. The curves should still be the same in the JJ OS.

Hi, im on mpc1000 (new pads) JJOS1 4.99 I have read the manual (Akai's own and JJOS manual). I can't find specific information aboutthe curves anywhere (even using the pdf search function for words like curve, sensitivity, velocity, etc). JJOS manual says its in the akai manual on p101 but the akai manual i have only has 95 pages (!?). can someone either quote the manual for me or confirm that there is another official akai manual (the one im using is 104page pdf document, 1.11mb), and if so, where to get it - by the way, i downloaded this manual following a link from this excellent forum. anyway, i love my mpc, its a total behemoth, peace al

can't answer about the manual, only my own experience w/ the curves.

had the free JJ, and the curves option isn't in there. switched to JJ 4.99 and the curves (plus sensitivity level) allow you to adjust the pad response based on how hard yr hitting them.

the curve / pad response provide different velocity arcs that allow you to find a middle ground between the two-hard-not-responsive pads of the original Akai OS and free JJ and the full-on Full Level button. you can use it to find the pad sensitivity sweet spot.
