mpc60 vs 3000

whats the diff between these two instruments?and why don't they each have there own forum?

because the 3000 is an updated 60 with all and more features most likely. They dont require their own forum sections because not nearly as many people own them as 2000xls, 1000s, 2500s, etc.

there would be 3 threads in the entire 60 section.

Are the insides all the same?

Yes except the 3000 has a chromatic divider

NO they are not the same! mpc 60 upgrade upgrades it to the mpc 3000 and the 3000 upgrade upgrades it to something new and unique.

3000 has filters and more ram its 16 bit and different sound
60 has no filters and max 1.5 mb ram and 12 bit sound

Man dont answer questions you do not know! The MPC3k is basicly a whole new take on the MPC concept after the 60mk1 and mk2, updated sampler, updated sequencer, updated memory etc. Anyother questions, feel free to pm me.

If you want to sample vocals...Stereo is much better than mono, and 16 bits is cleaner than 12...Also, what I meant by retriggering is this...If you sample "Kick the beat" the 60 will not allow you to "Kick..Kick..Kick, Kick the beat... It will only overlap the entire sample ...Kikick the beatkick the beatkickthebeatck the beat...you get the picture...Lastly, the MPC 3000 limited edition, with the hip-hop paint and design is the most beautiful instument on earth.

Well, With my regards, 1)MPC60 only has 750KB memory, expandable to 1.5MB, Where, MPC2000 and 3000 expand up to 32MB.
2)MPC60 is 12bit/low sampling rate, lofi sound, MPC2000 and 3000 are 16bit/44.1KHz, hifi sound.
3)MPC60 and 3000 have 2 MIDI In and 4 MIDI out, MPC3000 has 2 MIDI In and 2 MIDI out.
4)MPC60 and 3000 have built in SMPTE-pulse96-FSK24-1/4 click sync, MPC3000 has SMPTE as an option also MPC3000 has built in extra 8 outputs and digital in

you mean mpc2000(xl) for the 2 midi in 2 midi out and smpte as an option expansion. ^^^

The procedure to make a beat is about the same on the mpc60 and the mpc3000.
No graphic display of the samples, just 00.000.00 sec.msec.frames (i think frames)..

well ok the mpc3k has stereo input for stereo sampling, more memory and the filter, but the mentality is about the same i guess.

I never worked with an mpc3k but i think i already know about it judging from what i read in here and from what the mpc60 is.

id love to own one though.
