asr ?

hey i have been wondering the difference in sound quality between the asr x and the mpc, because i am seeing the asr's for pretty cheap on ebay. and was thinking about adding it to what i already have. just curious.

id say its probably a better sampler, but nothin can get on the mpc sequencing capabilities... it is going for a pretty good price nowadays though...

i just thought for a couple of hundred it would be nice to have along w/ the mpc.

Cop that ASR man.Used gear is where it's at because you can get the stuff for like 50-80% off of what it originally retailed for.I'm glad folks are starting to go software cause that means there is whole lot of hardware for sale real cheap.

i have always been a hardware guy for some reason.
i know it is gettin phased out, but i just work better on it.

the asr-x for the FX. the MPC for the sequencer.

the asr-10 actually sounds better than the ASR-x though. If you are going to get an ASR-X....make sure you get one with SCSI and the Urban Dance ROM Card. SCSI is not standard on the black ASR-x. The Urban Dance card has some sick sounds on it.

I had an ASR-X a while ago. The sequencer timing is awful. If you work the data entry dials while playing a sequence it starts stuttering.
