Anybody here up on Maschine yet?

I bought the Maschine through a retailer so contacting the previous owner is impossible. I'm in discussing with NI at the moment but I couldn't achieve much today given the time constrictions. I can't seem to get this thing on.

My turntable/mixer is almost 20 years old, and I have no audio interface for my computer. Therefore, I must sample with my MPC.

Did you do any research before you bought Maschine?

I'm assuming you will need a decent soundcard to run it, so this may only be the start of your problems...

got mine yesterday. registered and all fine. made a couple beats but gotta figure out how the scenes, groups and patterns work. dloaded the 1.5.something beta-it expires 4-30-20. anyone know the deal with that? how to import my own drum sounds?

They will do one or three things before your beta expires.

• Release a new beta for 1.5, for testing.
• Release the final version of 1.5.
• Extend the current beta.

I actually wish they'd remove that nag screen like they did last time. It gets annoying fast. One thing I'll say about Maschine is, if you've used an MPC or enough gear you can learn it without even reading the manual.

I may not have been well informed, but if it doesn't work out for me I could easily turn it around for more then I paid. I'm sure it will be fine, my computer exceeds all the required specifications.

Hold navigate and click on the button labeled Browser on the screen to open the browser. Then navigate to the folder/sample you want to import and click Import. You can then tag your samples with existing/new tags. Now whenever you click on Browse on the controller, you can quickly find what you need by dialing through the tags.

Yeah, but what soundcard are you using? If it is full ASIO you shouldn't have a problem, but it seems strange that you don't have a single input to sample into.

I have the Asio software installed on my computer. I don't have any 1/4 phono or rca inputs on my computer. I simply have a sound out, microphone in.

you dont need a 1/4" input.... and most microphone inputs can be switched to line in in the control settings. you can use a 1/8" to 1/4" converter piece. they cost 2 bucks. check though... you should be able to use it as a line in... or else you could use the mic in and play with the recording level.

Interesting. I'll look into this when I actually get my Maschine registered and loaded. Thanks for the advice!
