Need to get mobile ASAP! Please Help!

Whassup peoples? Haven't been on here in a minute, but I know I can always get the right answers on this site. I need a few pieces of equipment that will allow me to travel light, and still make beats like I do at home (MPC 1000 JJOS). Other than my laptop & whatever software I may use, I'm gonna need a midi controller, a sampler, and an interface. Of course any combination of those 3 components would make traveling easier. I've been looking at the MPK25, but it doesn't look like it samples. It's strickly a midi controller right? can I load my cf cards w/ samples already on them? Also would like to hear your opinions on the best on the go options in your opinions. Thanks!

The mpk is just a midi controller. No sampling done on it. You will need to sample on the computer

I dont want to sound like emptysea now...but since NI implemented being able to read MPC's pgm files, maybe you should look into maschine ? you kill two birds with one stone there since you get software and midi controller to go with it. just a suggestion

Yes I am DCook, yes I am. Ever since Howard Stern stopped putting me on his show, I had to fend for myself. So I started making beats to pay the bills.

Thanks konc3pt, I wasn't up on Maschine, but it looks pretty cool. Could definitely be an option.

will you have power while on the road? why not just load the 1k with samples and take that and a pair of headphones.

Bet it won't read JJ PGM's.
that's the only real drawback to using JJ OS2 or XL, the programs are so different that you loose compatibility with all the non-JJ MPC's.
