akai and jj. how is this really?

the question is ....
akai left if payments to economically jj, why does the hardware with a key on the operating system?
it continues to provide a remote work? consequently some money?
akai never used this key (related to asking us if we want change for change operating system to jj).

I don't think akai officially advised JJ on how to generate the hardware key.

I believe that JJ used to be an employee of Akai - then he left the company. Akai did not officially make the JJOS from start to finish.

He must have known the internal setup of the mpc 1000/2500 well.

If he did not set up this security (key on the operating system) JJOS would be pirated for sure. Some would have bought it - many would not.

Akai did not use the key on their own Operating System, but I think many would have preferred to pay a (small) charge for system updates. Akai OS is horrible compared to JJOS.

I wonder if the question is meant to be something like "how come the MPC supports a hardware key that Akai don't use? is JJOS a way for Akai to charge more for the MPC and to release a work-in-progress OS without having to support it?"

but that's just a guess. that Akai could be involved with JJOS is an idea that had occurred to me

The operating system is encrypted, therefore JJ had to get the password key. Most likely he worked at Akai.

JJ was the assistant to the main programmer who wrote the original Akai OS. akai went bankrupt & never paid JJ & the main programmer, so they took their code & went 'adios'. JJ later completed the OS on his own and the JJ OS was born.

the original wack akai os that came out with the mpc 1000 was the original uncompleted OS that akai managed to salvage from what JJ & the main programmer completed before they left. that's why it had a bunch of bugs and lacks features that the JJ OS has.

there's no mystery hidden agenda here. JJ has access to the source code and can access the mpc 1000/2500 hardware at a very low level. he uses this to generate the hardware key because he is selling his OS and trying to avoid piracy. akai has no need to work with hardware keys or anything like that because they just inlclude their gimp os on the machine itself and don't charge for it separate from the machine. get it?

JJ must make a bomb. ****.

OS1 incomplete
os2 incomplete
osXL incomplete
jj, continues to work with our money, and we can not work with their work incomplete.

we can have fun with jj operating system, as well as JJ is having fun with users.

no software is perfect, and any version JJOS is an improvement on the original Akai OS

as a programmer, I'm very happy to pay directly to a programmer who writes software that I use.

- In os2, there automation of the mixer, and this disappears in xl, why? you think?
- In OS1, has two filters in the os2 disappear, and return the two filters in xl, why? you think?
