editing regions of a sample

hey,

I have a question regarding editing regions within a sample, I read another post where someone gave the advice of adding reverb to the tail end of snares to make them sound less choppy so my question is how exactly would I add reverb to just the tail end?

The method I use now works but is painfully long, I would take my snare, copy the sample, add reverb to one of the snares, resample the snare with reverb, then combine A and B, then cut them down so that the tail end with the reverb replaces the tail end without reverb

I also like to use quite a lot of spoken word in my music, I don't often use my mpc for effects but it would be nice to know if this is possible.

ok lets say I have a phrase saying ermmmm ''I really need help with this'' and I want it to go, ''I really need help with this this this this'' then the drums could come in etc, so is it posibble for me to assign delay to just the ''this'' part, I mean the work around is obviously quite easy and obvious (copy sample extract ''this'' and add delay and assign to another pad and just hit the pad at the correct time) but I like to understand everything about my equipment.

by the way I am on an mpc 2500 using jjos2xl.

well I wouldn't really call it ''crazy'', more of a different technique.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that you can't isolate part of a sample for effects, maybe in step edit?

Really you should learn to shut the **** up, learn how effects work, hmmmm how on earth does that have anything to do with the question, ''can you isolate part of a sample an have effects on the selected/isolated part USING AN MPC'' you can in many programs....

I'm actually NEVER going to post on this site ever again, it's a cool site an a cool concept but you get far 2 many bell ends posting pathetic little comments whenever you ask a question etc.

If someone asks me a question no matter how stupid they might seem for asking, no matter how boring it is, no matter how many times I've heard it before I will give them as much knowledge as I can cos thats called being a sound person.

It's like when people ask a question an bell ends reply saying ''READ THE MANUAL'' or ''SEARCH FOR IT'', it's just pathetic. isn't that what this forum is for, to share knowledge, the more posts the more wide range of input you will get which in turn will give more peoples opinions and methods making us all better at what we want to do.

These people blatently don't realise that if everyone just did a ''search'' or ''read the manual'' then there would be like 50 questions and 50 answers and probably a dead forum. an by the way, I'm not saying there is anything wrong with reading the manual, I could quote that shit I've read it so many times but I couldn't find an answer to my original question.
