Note Repeat

My Note Repeat function doesn't work. does anybody have any idea why?

Check your timing correct. If the quantize setting is off then it wont work. It will repeat the sample at whatever rate you put the timing correct on.

A fun technique is to hold one finger on the timing correct button, another on note repeat, and another on the pad whose sound you want to repeat. Use the other hand on the data wheel to change the timing correct around.

I feel like I wish the note repeat wasnt the same little plastic tiny button like the others, on the 1000 its a bigger button that looks like it could take some abuse. I love the note repeat but it sucks that when people are jammin out and they get too excited and press it mad hard and then I have to open the MPC and yank it out of the board with pliers. They couldve def made that a button a bit more solid- I'll probably figure out a way to mod it.

Btw- make sure your tempo is set up the way you like it so the note repeat throws you the right rhythms.

lmao the mpc500 isnt made of the same stuff inside of wolverine but DAMN, u must do a top rope onto ur Note Repeat button brother lol forget putting Soul into it, it sounds like u tryna push life out of it lmao.
