Memory Issue

I'm checking out this MPC 2000XL for sale on ebay and this is what the seller says concerning a memory issue it has:

This MPC has a memory issue, it's not detecting the memory, which makes some of the samples sound like there's static in them. This also prevents it from recognizing any drives except a SCSI.

Other than that, he says it works fine. Since it's dealing with memory, I'm kind of skeptical of bidding on it. Should I pass on this one, or is this an easy issue to fix?

I've never even heard of an issue like that.

the memory and not being able to detect drives have nothing to do with each other.

foreal though man, sounds like he is trying to cover up for a bad floppy drive and about the memory is just bad ram. So a bad floppy drive and bad ram if that's the only two things wrong with it, it can still be a good buy if the price is right.

yes, turn is on it. sampling will be a **** with bad ram.
if thats just prob i say invest in new ram. max it out... only 32mb! 32megs is really cheap for the 2kxl these days....not like the screens =(
