i've got a mpc 60 II with the 3.1 upgrade and since i bought it it's never given me a problem untill one morning i flicked the power on and it didn't do anything ..... later that day i tried to turn it on again and the screen went all streaky blue and all the lights on the machine turned on ..... then when i tried again it just didn't do anything and still continues to be dead..... i checked the fuzes and they all look fine but thats about all i can think of doin ...... any recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated and if anybody knows a place in canada that could fix it that info would be appreciated aswell ...thanks

You can't confirm that a fuse "looking OK" is anything else until you've put a meter across it. (IE: A blown fuse doesn't always look as such ).

Sounds like you've got a dead power supply stage.

A response from another 60 user who has some inside the machine skills will be of use ...

Rohan.

it's the 5 volt line. either the fuse, a bad solder connection on the power board's ribbon connectors, or a blown part (transformer, regulator, etc.)

My guess is that it's the solder on the ribbon connector if not the fuse.

There's a member on her that goes by The-Shadow that may be able to help you with that. Maybe you should PM him or something.
