Headphone output balanced?

is the headphone output balanced on this machine?? all the other outputs are unbalanced. Anybody know???

DAM! That sucks! All my 003 inputs are balanced.I was told to keep output > input both balanced when trackin out.I guess it doesnt matter know.The 2500 has all balanced outputs.

I'm pretty sure that by it's very nature a headphone jack cannot be balanced because it is in stereo... Doesn't that make sence?

Yes.

A TRS jack is either unbalanced stereo or balanced mono, not both.

For balanced stereo you need two balanced mono inputs.

Or digital - so that balancing doesn't matter

I thought so... Speaking of digital Pastor, great effing name by the way, I'm looking into getting the Korg Kaoss pad 3 and from the specs it looks like it only has RCA in and out. No digital. Is that the case? I only ask cause it's on your avatar. If you don't have one, simply discard...

it is the case. the KP3 doesn't even have the phono pre-amp that the KP2 had (which doesn't bother me, I have it in a loop on my mixer, so don't need a phono pre-amp on it)

it also has a mic input and midi in and out (no thru) but I haven't used them, the rca is all I use

Why not use the main outs of the MPC? They are balanced. Or the SPDIF....

On the 1k? I thought the 1k had balanced inputs, but not outputs. The 2500 has balanced outputs.

Other way around. The 1k has unbalanced inputs and balanced main outs. The assignable outs (1,2,3,4) are unbalanced. And like I said, he could also use the SPIF and avoid the conversion altogether.
