Unity gain on 2500 ?

The standard for unity gain on most devices is around 7 which is about 3/4's of the volume knob turned up (duh, I know) . My 2K classic always worked perfectly set here on the master outs i.e. no clipping, no distortion of sound . My 2500 distorts when I turn it up this loud and I always have to keep it at a little past 1/2 way .

I've already turned off the master out effects and set every other master setting to +00 . Anyone else have this problem or know what it could be ?

this may sound dumb... but maybe your original samples are too loud?

I've set my master level at -6db. Otherwise I also have a lot of distortion and clipping.
