Hi,

I've been reading other threads before creating this one, but I couldn't find the answer for my question. I'm a beginner and I was trying to have a long sample played on a pad, and then when i play another long sample on another pad, the first one is interrupted. On the manual I just found out about "ONE SHOT" and "NOTE ON"... But it's not exactly what I'm looking for. Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks in advance, mates (and sorry if this has been answered before, i used the "search" function and still didn't find anything).

Yep. Sorry, english is not my mother tongue. I did that using Akai MPD24 and NI Battery, and now I'd like to do that with my mpc 1000.

you will have to set the mpc up so that one pad mutes the other.

example pad1 will mute when pad2 is played or visa versa...

OR

you can switch it the mode from "poly" to "mono"

cant remeber exactly how to do these but i know this is what you need to try and do mate.

say pad 1 is Mute group 1

Make sure the other samples are in the same group.

Thanks, mate! I realize that it must be boring with people asking the same stuff over and over again, so I appreciate that you help me out. Now it's working. Do you know what I should do in order to have a pad that can silent the others? I was thinking about loading a sample with nothing on any pad and then assigning that to the same "mute" group of the others. Do you think this is the best way?
