hey can someone get me a good version of xl I got it for the 25 but Ineed it for the 1000 and it keeps giving me text, I tried explorer ,safari, fipped it over to windows tried it there same. If anyone can email me it at [email protected] thanks.

Yo fam, I am a mac user also. Had the same problem at first, but read the JJ site instructions for mac users. When the crazy JJ code text comes up, Save it on your hardrive or wherever you are saving it. Then you have to manually change the file name. For example

Save as mpc1000_xl127.os2.txt

Then rename the file manually by Option Clicking if you have a single clickin mouse. After you rename the file it should ask you do you want to Keep .txt or use os2 file name. Click use os2

After saving it should look like mpc1000_x127.os2

This should now be ready to install on the MPC via cf card or however you usually do it.

ok I have it saved to my desktop when I control click it doesnt give me the option to rename it lets me compress or make alias duplicate . I'm definetly missing something!

Ok,
1st click the downloaded file so it is highlited blue,
2nd push command I
3rd once the info window opens change the name (just remove the .txt)
4th you will be asked if u want to keep the .txt or use the .OSXL, PUSH "USE"
5th load into your MP

when I download it , it does'nt have the abbreviation txt. it's a blank piece of paper on my desktop that says mpc1000_xl127-1.os

c'mon man. thousands of other people, Mac users included, have managed to figure this out. if you're having this many problems downloading the os, imagine how much trouble you're going to have when you actually start trying to use the thing.

first of all, JJ includes a link right on his page for Mac users. use that. but if you know how to 'control-click & SAVE AS', then you don't even need that link.

second, if you have a file on your desktop that ens in '.os2', your already set. just install that on your mpc.

third, if you don't know how to rename files, then you better learn how to use a computer first.

good looks sooty g way to help a brother out . and for your information this isnt my only mpc I'm running 2xl on my 2500 but im leaving for ca from vt and so I got Another one cry guy . If anyone has a version on there desktop like I do for the 2500 it would be greatly appreciated. by the way im on osx 1 so im not stupid I just cant get it to down load as a bin . so again thanks to sooty g for showing us all he has the skills to be an ****

if its on your mac already then your fing it up between the mac and the mp!

do you people even read, before you act like an expert on everything. I said I have 2xl for my 2500 on my desk top. I am looking 2xl for the 1000. This is supposed to be a site for like minded people to share information, but everyone wants to act like an mpc gangster. what ever keep hating and worshiping the ground you walk on. again I amhaving trouble downloading 2xl for the mpc 1000, If any one has it it would be cool if you could hook it up .FOR those who dont have it or dont want to sare for what ever pathetic reason, just dont write anything .I dont care what you have to say.

hate to say this, but not enough info on how its done on the Mac, but its all good, sum real heads got a thing called a
