mpc as midiclock master without play pressed

Hi,

will the mpc constantly send a signal to my midi equipment, even if play is not pressed?
When I try out stuff i dont wanna loop anything, just have my stuff sync to the mpc.
I did set it to Midi Clock and it acts as a master on both midi Ports.

Unfortunately, no. There's some dedicated sync boxes like the mungo sync that will send constant clock with or without a start message. I used to use my elektron machinedrum for this too.
