Thats all dope sh-i-t you're making but you use nothing but loops.. Try to make a beat/ track without digging into those record boxes searching for loops!

Don't knock the man's style (No beef intended).... Honestly, Choppin don't make you super innovative or anything... I mean, it's all about the mood you grab from the track...

I mean I used to chop like crazy when I started and still do occassionally... But I use mostly loops myself... We all got our style...

You need to beef up that sample though Andreas cause The drums sound too loud and that string section is too minimal...

Just my two yen...

I disagree. If you want to call yourself a producer then you gotta be creative and create something special out of what you're sampling. Riding pure loops is not a style. If all you do is find ill loops (that someone else has painstakingly created) and slap some drums over them then you're not producing (Lord Finesse alluded to this in an interview). Any monkey with a sampler can slap drums over a loop and call it a beat. It's not producing, it's remixing.

Don't get me wrong, I like to ride loops with the best of them but that's not all I do. I like to find little samples and put them together to create my own melodies and such. I like to mix it up.

You have to be versatile and be able to make something great out of a sample that isn't even a loop. Make your own loops. What were to happen if sampling was banned tomorrow? A lot of these so-called hiphop "producers" would be up shit's creek. This is why a lot of people don't respect hiphop as music.

We gotta expand y'all.

yeah i agree. if u are loopin everything then u are a pdiddy. Madlib is a pdiddy. its the same exact thing. in my opinion, i dont want to be a pdiddy.
