I'm hopefully starting my long-awaited 500 series collection this year...just curious- who's got what?

:D

I was going with a lunchbox but decides that the A2D better served my needs.
So that would be similar to having 2- 312's.

Might have still gone with a lunchbox if I had know GR was doing a 500 series.
I could have saved some space by having the API's and the 500 variant of my ME-1nv's in a lunchbox.

For now I am really pleased with the A2D and it routing abilities.

What are you considering?

To be honest, I haven't quite started making choices yet- Definitely looking to get a few EQ's...

Got an A2D as well and love it though! :D Killer unit

This you? Damn. I saw that and didn't even read the rest of the post, since I'm barely even getting started. If this is what you've accrued this year already man...****. Dope modules. :D

^^ i know, i posted some sh*t about 500 series modules a while back and got very limited responses. I guess its not a very popular signal processing method. or yeah, just real high class

oh well...to each his own

Are you planning to stay on the single channel path or expand to stereo by doubling up?

Well maybe with all the new growth in the 500 frame more people will see the advantage of being able to buy as you can afford it.
People buy lots of stuff like the Presonus stuff, Focusrite Platinum, Mackie Onyx etc without ever considering how cost effective the 500 route can be in the grand scheme of things.

You can really pull off a killer channel strip that would really break the bank in its 19" form.

I hear you...the price definitely seems daunting if you look at the whole lunchbox, but what's great about it is you can add it one module at a time and not go completely broke...

The A2D is great at what it does- I love it, but those 2 pres are together in that one unit...if I had two 500 series API pres and wanted to swap one out for another flavor, I could do that if I wanted to...something about it being modular is really attractive to me.
