Absynthh

Im posting this in the MPC1000 bit cus i own one........

I have the Absynth VST plug in which i use on cubase and a friend of mine wants me to produce a (shivers) "lil jon style beat" for him 2 rap over so this will basically consist of the 808 kit (from the akai site) and what im after is a instrument for Absynth that has the same type feel as his disgusting trance/godknowswhat keyboard noise similar the the usher "yeah" song dus any1 no where i can get this from?

Someone said its a Triton "detuned lead" preset, maybe try some lead synths and detune them.

So, you Hiphopheads, what is it all about with this lil jon stuff who apparently produces every hiphoptrack seen on mtv? Is he "whack?" Why is his sound so successful?

And what happened to that pharcyde/dream warriors/brand nubian type of things, the hiphop stuff I used to like when I was younger?

I dont really listen to hip-hop that much, but im guessin people who do, dont like lil'jon cause his stuff is a lot more "techno/synth" club-oriented than most hip-hop.

to enlighten you I will start off saying that the main reason some hip-hop heads dont "feel" lil jon's music is because its contemporary hip-hop and far left field. i am an avid fan of the native toungs/pharsyde sound but being a hip-hop producer i can appreciate what lil jon is doing by not contributing to the monotone fear that a lot of my back pack brothers have... the fear of the death of hip-hop. just because the baby grows up and becomes a child and then an adolesent and then an adult doesn't make it bad its still the same hip hop its just doing its own thing and until it becomes an old fart waiting to die we need to continue giving our contributions to sustain its life wheter people hate what we bring to it or not.
