Dimming Screen Issue

I was using my MPC when suddenly the screen became dim and hard to see from a straight angle. Restarting did nothing and now when I start up it is normal untill it gets to the main screen where it becomes dark. Any ideas of what this is and how to fix it?

You adjusted the contrast. Check your manual.

Hold the stop button and spin the data wheel.
