Tapco Link USB 2x2 and recording into Logic???

I recently got my MPC 1000 and have been trying to record into logic but not having much luck. There is definitely a latency issue when trying to record with a midi usb cable and with recording audio straight from my mpc. I was wondering if it was my audio interface and do i need to upgrade to a firewire or better usb interface.

man im having the same problem. i cant get them to communicate at all...

i didn't know that the akai os didn't have mmc and mtc i bought that and its much better but still not perfect might buy a new interface
