amplifier suggestions

I found some speakers I got that are 140 watts each...

how many watts should I be looking at in an amplifier and does anyone have any recommendations?

the first 4 or 5 hits are all pretty useful. basically an amp with around 100W per channel will be fine, if that 100W rating is for the same impedance as your speakers
(that is, if your speakers are 140W at 8Ohms and the amp is 100W at 4 Ohms, that's not the same as 140W@8Ohms hooked up to 100W@8Ohms)

I would cop powered speakers instead.
