strange problem when start up my mpc 2500 SE

Watup?!

Got a strange problem..

I have an mpc2500 SE..


Anytime i start up my mpc i just can't go into the several modes… i mean the pads just dont react! Even if go into the trackmute the pads don't react..
Well, the strange part is that i then have to open and close (a bit punchy) the display a few times and suddenly the pads react?!?! Wtf is this?

Well if its only the pads...

Since you have to move the display it sounds like a hardware connection problem. There's no reason why moving the display should affect anything in the firmware. Since it is an SE, it should be fairly new, exchange it for another one if you can. Changing the pads won't do anything if it's a connection problem.
