Vestax totally sucks, Technics all the way. I mean, playing SF2 with 3 buttons is retarded dude....Genesis can eat a pork sword - SNES FO LIYFE. Now, you tell me why the hell I need to mix my Bourbon with Pepsi when Michal Jackson's telling me COKE is the REAL thang?....

SF2 is better on genesis then on SNES... that is fact. the genesis version is the second best port of the arcade game right after the PC engine port.
and who ever plays SF2 on genesis with the 3 button controller has something wrong in their head... SF2 is the reason the 6 button controller was invented.

you're crazy, SNES had super street fighter 2... but when it comes down to sf2/sf2 turbo/sf2 CE... genesis 6 button takes it... although the PC engine port of street fighter 2 CE released only in japan has the best sound.
I dont know what 3DO has to do with anything though.

Askia Shaheed wrote:- Roland MV series with the external monitor and mouse was the first to expand on the idea of an MPC with the power of a DAW.
So attaching a monitor to standalone hardware gives you power of a DAW?
Askia Shaheed wrote:- MPCs can connect to PCs via USB. You can drag and drop MPC sequences and audio into the DAW of your choice.
Sorry but MPC cannot do drag and drop of sequence or audio into a DAW. You're in denial or not understanding what Maschine does.
Askia Shaheed wrote:Since you are already on a computer, why not just use the best effects available?
Who says you can't? Anyway, it's about the workflow. Doing everything from the hardware controller is more fun and productive than clicking around with a mouse. NI effects are top-notch regardless.
Askia Shaheed wrote:- MPCs have a memory of 16 MB-512 MBs and are still used today. The fact that they are powerful MIDI sequencers that can sequence the most powerful software synths and instruments available makes this a non-issue. Logic and an MPC...heaven....all your sounds in a single environment if you choose.
That's not a single environment and yes, that is an issue for many people.
Askia Shaheed wrote:- The latest MPCs were specifically engineered for improved live performances.
Then how about having assignable macro knobs section like Maschine? How about quickly accessible mute/solo of individual sounds as well as groups of sounds without having to go to any menu/page before being able to do so?
Askia Shaheed wrote:- If users want a Kore-style browser, they could just use Kore. Again, features like this are easier accessed with a mouse (see MV-8800) or any DAW.
NI is using the Kore-style browser for almost all their products nowadays, not just Kore. And it's faster to scroll through tags and find sounds from the Maschine hardware than grabbing a mouse and moving a cursor on screen.
Askia Shaheed wrote:- Any MPC can change the pitch of a sample immediately.
Wrong. On the MPC it's more like go to Trim Mode, find the sample, hit edit then find pitch shift, process.
Askia Shaheed wrote:- MPC 5000 can automate nearly everything that someone would want to automate. There are also numerous controllers that can do the same thing with a DAW.
Go ahead and keep ignoring Maschine's strength in efficient workflow. Just because a tool can do the same thing doesn't mean it's fast or easy to do the same thing. And you end up sounding like a tool when you keep bringing up DAWs to compare it to Maschine.
Askia Shaheed wrote:- When sampling/resampling, the last thing on my mind is having the recording stop on a certain bar especially when I enjoy editing and chopping all my samples.
That's an option in addition to the regular way of sampling and chopping. It comes in handy for sampling in sync with the tempo without ever stopping the sequencer.
Askia Shaheed wrote:- JJ OS non-destructive chop and zooming is the best thing going right now. NI should follow this lead.
Askia Shaheed wrote:- Maschine is no better a MIDI controller than any other on the market when not being used with Maschine software. MPC 5000 and 2500 as well as any MPD are great MIDI controllers. Maschine's two LCDs are not that impressive.
Actually it is. It craps over any MPC or MPD in that regard. And no, the two LCD displays that show parameters and the fact that you can label those parameters that show on the display are extremely helpful.
Askia Shaheed wrote:How's grid editing/recording compared to the latest MPCs?
Much better.
Askia Shaheed wrote:- Multi-effect step sequencer? I am falling asleep. Nothing else to copy from the Maschine product description?
That's not in Maschine's product description.

Emptysea and askia are one and the same person, just playing good cop / bad cop over maschine to get it hyped more.
I think they should take it to the call out thread.

Wow, that foe feature is cool.
I had never thought to use it before but someone on this thread gave me the impetus to use it for the first time ever.

Problem is multiple people have tried asking to hear some of emptyseas "AMAZING" MASCHINE beats. But its the one question he keeps avoiding. Dude is all talk, and can't backup his words w/ music.
New Beat Tape!
