Hello Everyone,
I'm new there but I have been using the MPC 2500 for a long time now. I love it. Especially coupled with the JJ OS XL. The Akai OS is just wack. If you haven't already, I strongly encourage anyone to upgrade to the JJ OS XL. It will add a huge power to your MPC.
However, there is one thing that I miss from the 5000. I never wanted to sell my 2500 and buy a 5000 because first there is no JJ OS for it (yes, I love this OS that much) and more importantly, I have no use for the internal sequencer as I do everything on my computer. The "analogue" synth sounds like a good idea but it's not worth the money plus I have tons of plugins and even synth samples that I chop up, spread across the 16 pads and then use with the arpeggiator.
No, the one thing that I really, really miss is the cycle pad function. This function is just pure genius and allows for a lot of creativity. Now, I am sure, even though I don't know anything about programming that JJ could easily implement such a function.
So please JJ, if you read this, could you implement the cycle pad on your next update. Otherwise, unless I missed something, does anybody knows of a work around on the MPC 2500?
