Just ordered the latest kaosspad. The KP3. I've watched a few videos on it, and this thing looks amazing! I was just wondering if there were any other users out there. I was really just looking for ideas to start using this sucker. The effects seem pretty straight forward, but some of the videos I've seen of this thing make it look really impressive. Besides the manual (I always study my manuals... No joke) anyone have any good tips on where to begin? Just preparing. I haven't got a new piece of gear in quite a while.

make sure you install the OS v2 update and read the extra manual pages about the new sample trigger types

you can re-assign which effects the program buttons select, so if you prefer Grain4 to Grain1 you can make a program button load that effect instead

the best feature is the sample time-slicing - record a sample, then press SHIFT+A or SHIFT+B or whichever bank you've recorded to, then chop the sample up with the program buttons along the top - works very well with drum'n'bass

check out youtube videos of Beardyman to see what can be done with two of them!

by my understanding the kp3 is a couple years old...the kaossilator pro is brand new. I just copped both this last week. The kp3 is pretty sick, especially.

Got this bad boy already, and it seems really straight forward. For some reason I thought it would be a bit more difficult to learn, but it's really easy to figure everything out. At least so far... Actually, thinking about it, I probably have a lot to learn. Sure is a nice addition though. I'd still love to hear any tips you guys may have. If you think of anything...

I'm hoping Korg release a KP4, or maybe even a bigger more enhanced effects workstation. I can see plenty of uses for that.

One of the features I find especially nice is when sampling, altering the BPM still keeps the sample synced up nicely (even though it changes the pitch, but whatever. I wish the MPC had a feature like that that worked as easily.

I got one cheap and use it for my turntables. I've ran the mpc into it as well. I don't use it very much, there isn't much use for effects when I'm mixing hip hop, but for DnB I enjoy using it.
