No one's telling you what to get, so relax. And yes, it is all about what the USER is comfortable with. But you're very wrong when you say "Computer heads will never get why we prefer MPC's to product X". I'm a long time MPC user and so is saintjoe and we've both moved onto the Maschine. In fact, you'll find that an increasing number of MPC users are getting Maschine both here and on the NI forums. As a long time MPC user, I understand what makes the MPC different than using more powerful software sequencers and why MPC users prefer the much more limited MPC. NI does too and that's precisely why they created Maschine. It brings the instrument-like efficient workflow that was only previously available to standalone-hardware like MPC to a new hybrid concept that combines it with the power and flexibility of software. And Maschine is still very new. It certainly does not have the status/association the MPC has with hiphop that's been built over many years. But when it comes to improving the product and constantly innovating, MPC users can only dream of Akai being as responsive as NI has been with Maschine.

Again, I'm not telling anyone what to get. But I'll continue to correct ignorant claims being made against Maschine from insecure MPC fanboys and help anyone who's interested in checking out Maschine with relevant info.

I Hope Dj Premiere or Pete Rock don't make the upgrade to Maschine...

I have the mpc 4k, the 2k, the s950, the Emu sp 1200.. and the rack s3kxl... somethime i think to buy the Mpc 3k or a Moog ( <3 ) .. but every day on the web i found some lp .. and my money go to the vinyl... lol.. a maschine no.. really Lotuz.. not for sure.. i'm too old school.. i'm old school in the soul and in the earth... and i like do do my thing, i'm not son of the marketing evolution..

every day, i try something.. i like when i'm doing.. i like to finish... but if i listen too much.. i hate it and i would like to make better.. my time for make something to listen is not now.. I know, i know isn't good have nothing to make listen... but this is now.. i hope in the future to became happy of my work's.. Excuse me for This Lotuz.
