If you actually read what I said, I'm talking about the ability to change things like pitch of any sample immediately without having to go to any Trim window to change a setting and then clicking DO IT to process the change. In Maschine, you just hold the pad with the sample and tweak the tempo knob. It does make a difference.
Again, I am reading exactly what you are saying. Depending on which MPC you use, there are three types of pitch shifting.
Method 1: Off line processing in TRIM, that you must press Do It to change the pitch. This method changes the pitch without changing the tempo. *This is what you are talking about.
Method 2: Real-time pitchshift (without changing tempo) for incoming audio through its input that you can sample. This is a JJ OS feature.
Method 3: This is the one I keep telling you about. Every drum machine and workstation that I can think of since 1980s has this function. You can TUNE (change the pitch) of any audio file assigned to a program immediately..no processing..no Do It commands. A simple turn of the data wheel. The only reason why I keep writing about this is for you to admit you never used an MPC before. Because every person here that uses an MPC know you can change the pitch of a sample on the fly. This is done in PROGRAM MODE. You can hit any pad and quickly dial in the pitch change for an immediate response. Do you need me to do a tutorial for you on how to use an MPC?

wtf?......just realized yesterday, no dedicated sliders!?!...after this fiasco decided to sell maschine and switch back to mpc...this is my 6th mpc...mpc is def better than this cheap gimmick...

In Maschine it is called Groups aka programs in MPC you can change the entire program. I came to realize the manual we were reading it is for ver 1.0 OS. I`m using OS1.1 until 1.5 goes official but you can do tuning in groups and on the individual sounds plus the whole sequence if you wished.
There is an unofficial manual you can download at NI that states the updated features.
I`m came out just step in cuz of the confusion on this point.

Actually sliders aren`t needed when you have knobs. Tune, filter, start points, amp, edit, fxs, you name it just tweak a knob.

I've used both JJ OS 1 & 2. What you're talking about is a useless feature since you can't even use it while the sequence is playing and you can't resample while using it.

yeah but both have their pros... it is nice to not have to go to a window... it is quicker.
but then again if you knock that knob by accident it isn't like you hit the volume. you could potentially screw up your whole sequence by accident.
wait, now that I think about it... who cares if on the mpc you gotta open another window to access the pitch. that is a garbage feature to have on the fly with a knob at all times.
what you gonna do? tweak the pitch knob during a live set? how shit would that sound...
