MPC and Moniter speaker (distances)

Sorry if this is a dumb question but.....

How close should you keep your monitor speakers to your equipment? Particularly an mpc 2000xl and keyboard? I know that the magnet in speakers can have a negative effect on certain pieces of tech like a TV and what not. But is there a rule of thumb or specified distance on how far your speakers should be to your production equipment as well as your floppies and zip disks to avoid calamity?

these days monitors are well shielded and you don't get the interference you would have seen years back. I would keep the hard drives/floppies away from them just because its better save than sorry but the MPC will be fine.

lets take into consideration that my speakers are not new and in fact are old, like 90's type old but their still very good speakers in great condition, but did not buy these for musical production and are probably not intened for such but more like speakers that came with a cd/tape deck unit - (AIWA twin duct 3 way bass refelx speaker system)

I still wouldn't worry. That seems far enough for the mpc. I wouldn't put the drive any closer tho. Those speakers don't look like they're more than 25w (no offense)

can you recommend any methods for keeping my equipment safe guarded from dust n such (aside from me putting a blanket over my turntable, mpc, keyboard & track mixer?) lmao
