You have 2 seperate sequences on two seperate machines and now you want to put the one sequence from your korg into the mpc. Well for all intents and purposes right off it sounds like you are working against yourself. these machines should be connected via midi prior to making sequences that is if you plan to make one song with both machines.

I would suggest spending some time with the manual and a big help would probably be to cop the MPC 5000 tutorial vids (google it)

you know how to sample audio and record midi. the only trick is to get the sequence on the korg running at the same bpm as the mpc and have them start at the same time.

so, slave the korg to the mpc, if that is possible, and hit record.
or use your ear to get the mpc and korg running at the same bpm. then record the audio or midi. once you've recorded the korg sequence into the mpc, fine tune the bpm so it fits perfectly. for audio adjust the tuning, for midi, i think, you just adjust the bpm of the individual track. i haven't tried that so you might want to check the manual on how to adjust the midi.

slaving gear can often be a hassle. i dj, so don't have problems using my ear with a little tuning to get things running together.

i see,,,well like i said matching up the mpc and the keyboard through midi is easy for me just wanted to have both in the mpc so i can just play the entire track from the mpc in the push of a button withhout having the keyboard on at all .But i honest dont think thats possible ,but maybe it is .im going to look into the manual more.in the mean time im going to get myself a digital recorder .

WOOOOWWW
the mpc was a midi sequencer before a music production center
to sequence the korg with mpc you have to adjust a track to a midi track and make sure its on the right channel and everything along that line

turn your mpc off
put them reading glasses on

how much sample time do you have on the 5000? it can take up to 2gig of ram! just record/sample the korg into the mpc.

Tek, it's obvious you're very new to the world of music composition. If you need a good source to learn from and get your game going, we can point you in the right direction.

This stuff can give the novice user the impression it's easy as sh!t to get into, when honestly, it's the total opposite.

Grounding yourself with recording principles & terminology will make the introduction into this stuff less of a burden to you.

The rest comes as the hands on concept to put what you've learned to good use. Without those principles, it's going to be a tough hill to climb.

to have the whole thing in the mpc you want to sample the audio from the keyboard, rather than recording a midi sequence. the mpc5000 should be able to do everything you need, you shouldn't need a separate digital recorder
