instead of starting a new topic i will ask on this one, this is my very first mpc and i am really excited to get started on it, but it has the JJ OS on it, will my manual still be able to get me going?

thanks in advance

yeah.. the basics are the same... JJOS just adds more features. one thing to keep in mind with the JJOS is that sometimes there are extra menus available only by pressing the WINDOW button... if the WINDOW button lights up, it means that there are sub-menus available if you press it.

yeah... using the AKAI OS is pretty pointless as it's buggy and doesn't use the machine to it's full potential. i'd just start with the JJOS right off the bat. it can still do everything the AKAI OS ever could.. just better & more.
