Mastering Compression

For your overall master compression, what settings do you guys usually use? do you compress your tracks on the mpc before dumping them into your computer?

the 1k's compressor is kinda wack for use as a "mastering" compressor. there's much better stuff out there to use as that. it's usually better off leaving the track clean and then messing with it later.

i put mastering in quotes cuz it's retarded to think of that chessy compressor as having anything to do with mastering.
